LOCALITY: Generally found in estuaries and lower reaches of rivers.

SIZE: Can grow up to 80cm & 2.5kg. Most commonly around 1kg giving a nice plate size fillet.

TEXTURE & TASTE: A moist flesh with a soft texture. Medium to strong flavour.

COOKING: Great for grilling or pan fry. Being a moist fillet well suited to lightly coated in flour or crumbed to help hold together.

GENERAL: A popular fish, especially for those of us that have trouble overcooking our fish. One great thing about cobbler is its hard to overcook.
