LOCALITY: Caught in the Northern Waters of Australia, around Reef & Seagrass bottoms, up to 30 meters deep.
SIZE: Can be caught up to 90 cm & 14 kg. Most commonly caught under 5 kg
TEXTURE & TASTE: Many people will describe Grouper as having a distinctive flavour. Being a fairly firm texture it is important to not over cook. Nice white flesh.
COOKING: Suitable for most types of cooking. Probably best suited to shallow fry or Oven Bake wrapped in foil.
GENERAL: Not usually available all months of the year. When it is available everyone should give it a try.
