LOCALITY: Generally found in the Northern waters of Australia, especially around Broome & the Gulf of Carpenteria and Northern Queensland coast. The season is between April and November each year.

SIZE: Growing up to 25cms long, although the most popular size is 10-15cms (grading at 20 per pound).

TEXTURE: King prawns have a reasonably hard shell making them easy to peel and therefore perfect for your marinated dishes. They have a distinct prawn flavour that will satisfy most peoples tastes.

COOKING: Suitable for most types of cooking, especially spicing with garlic or cooking whole on a BBQ.
