Curried Prawns
Ingredients:
1kg Raw Prawns,
2 Sticks Celery,
1 Onion,
1 Tomato,
1/2 Capsicum,
2oz Butter,
1 tbsp Curry Powder,
4 tbsp Flour,
1 1/2 cups Water,
2 Chicken Stock Cubes,
1 Cup Milk,
1tsp Sugar,
1 tbsp Lemon Juice,
S&P
To Cook:
Peel and devien prawns.
Melt Butter, add curry, chopped celery, onion and capsicum.
Saute gently for approx 3 mins. Peel an chop tomato and add to pan.
Cook further 2 mins. Add flour and salt & pepper.
Cook 1 minute. Gradually add water, milk, crumbled stock cubes.
Continue stirring until sauce boils and thickens.
Reduce heat, add sugar and lemon juice.
Simmer for 20-25 mins stirring occasionally.
Add prawns and heat until cooked (approx 1-2 mins).
Serve with steamed rice.
