Plain Batter No.1

Ingredients:

1 cup Plain Flour
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
S&P
1 cup Milk

To Cook:

Sift flour, baking power and S&P into a bowl.
Make a well in the centre and pour in milk. Stirring from the centre, gradually incorporate flour.
Keep stirring until all flour is mixed, then beat well. If batter is still lumpy, whisk or sieve.
Lightly coat seafood in flour and pat off any excess.
Dip into batter to coat.
Fry in hot oil and drain on kitchen paper.
